THEN/ right after high-school:
Married Melvin Hendrix, now a re-tired Tulsa Policeman, owns the "Out West Cafe" in Tahlequah. We have one daughter, Leefire, "aya gvgeyui" who lives and works in Tulsa.
I owned and ran Anno's Fine Liquors and Wines (specializing in import wines) on Riverside in Tulsa before I decided to go back to NSU for a Masters in Speech Pathology.
During part of this time I was engaged to Mike Brown (class of '73- those of you who stayed in the area are probably aware that he passed away a few years ago).
Prior to my graduation, Leefire decided she wanted to live on an island, so diploma in hand, St. George Island, Florida became our home in '94. I still have some beach front property on the sound side of the island and love it there.
NOW: I am a contract speech pathologist and have traveled- lived - worked (I call them working vacations) all around the states, usually for 3-4 months at a time except the 8 1/2 months I lived and worked in the Virgin Islands.

while now I have been back somewhat in the home area. Working in Ft. Smith during the week but have an old 1920's field stone house in Muskogee.
No matter how many times I have ran away from home (and that is FREQUENT) I always seem to circle back around for a short while. I guess this time around I stayed a little to long before heading out again (just joking Jay) because in October I will be getting married to Jay Blanchard when he gets back from Iraq. Go figure - something I never would have thought. Life is good and strange at times but never ever dull.
By the way, If any of you will be looking for somethinhg to do the 24th and 25th of October we will be having our wedding party the week-end of the Sparks Halloween Party. A keg or two, food and laughs at our camp site.
All are welcome - you don't have to ride.
Lots of people, bike games, bands, shopping etc.... you know the rally drill.
You DO NOT have to participate, but a bike rally is definately not for prudes or the faint of heart.
